Loïc Staub is a Swiss attorney who advises international and domestic companies offering financial, fintech, payment, or blockchain-based services in or from Switzerland. He also assists international companies seeking to establish a presence in Switzerland and serves as a trusted advisor to HNWIs in transactions and family offices.
Loïc holds a comprehensive legal education, complemented by a master's degree in law and economics, and has passed the Swiss bar. He has also pursued numerous additional trainings in crypto, blockchain, programming, risk management, and negotiation, and has been involved in crypto projects since 2016. He also teaches "DeFi Fundamentals" at the University of Applied Sciences HWZ in Zürich. What sets Loïc apart is that he not only possesses a strong theoretical understanding of the digital finance sector but also has hands-on experience as an active DeFi user, crypto trader, and tech enthusiast.
As an advocate for fintech, blockchain, and financial markets, Loïc has supported numerous fintech companies through their licensing processes and co-founded the Swiss FinTech Alliance SFA association, which supports all current fintech licensees (under Art. 1b Banking Act) in Switzerland. Loïc is a member of the Regulatory Working Group of the Crypto Valley Association (CVA).
In 2024, Loïc was shortlisted among the top 6 finalists for Crypto Advisor of the Year 2025 at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards. In 2025, he was ranked #19 among the Most Influential Voices in Web3 in Switzerland by Favikon.
Outside of his main work, Loïc is passionate about longevity / health, and trading.
